A high brightness practical alternative for generating terahertz laser light. Firefly THz is compact, efficient and convenient with its integrated pump laser, sealed maintenance-free laser head, and novel optical parametric oscillator design that produces widely tunable, high power THz output. With automated tuning, a readily collimated output beam, microwatt average powers, and Watt-level peak powers.

HIGH BRIGHTNESS

Firefly THz provides greater sensitivity and standoff distance for remote sensing and spectroscopy.

PULSED NANOSECOND OUTPUT

This removes the need for post-detection Fourier transform data processing.

WIDE TUNING

Widely tunable, narrow linewidth output enables broad, fast THz wavelength scans from a single unit.

EXCEPTIONAL BEAM QUALITY

Gaussian and symmetrical THz output is ideal for imaging systems and spectroscopic applications.

PRECISE WAVELENGTH CONTROL

Option to integrate with a wavemeter for precise control of THz wavelength. 


FULLY AUTOMATED

Easy THz selection, pre-set THz values and optimisation of OPO & pump mirrors via a web interface or via a published set of TCP/IP controls, facilitating automated control and option to use third party applications such as LabVIEW and MATLAB.
