M Squared took part in CLEO 2017, the leading forum for scientific and technical optics, which once again has been taking place in San Jose, California.
Dr Nils Hempler, Head of Innovation led the M Squared team this year, where we exhibited some of our world-leading laser and photonics toolkits to some of the world’s leading physicists.
Demonstrations of SolsTiS, our Firefly IR and Sprite XT products took place throughout the five-day conference, which gathers more than 4,000 attendees, 200 speakers and 2,000 research presentations. The team also highlighted the latest innovations our technology has enabled, addressing countless researchers and talking about how our products can transform their work.
The M Squared team also visited Cadder Primary School as part of STEM week, where we spoke to children about how we harness the power of light for an array of incredible applications, from ‘teleportation’ to creating the coldest place in the universe.
No-one is ever too young to be inspired by science and tech, and our laser workshop at the Glasgow primary school sought to do just that.
We hope the Primary 4 class enjoyed the workshop and that we have been enlightened and inspired by their interest in science and technology.
