Management Team
The two founders of M Squared Lasers, Dr Graeme Malcolm and Dr
Gareth Maker, have previously founded and grown a laser company
successfully in Scotland-Microlase Optical Systems Ltd, Glasgow.
The successful growth of Microlase, driven by a portfolio of
groundbreaking laser products, resulted in its acquisition in 1999
by Coherent, Inc (one of the world's largest laser companies). M
Squared Lasers was formed in May 2006, when Dr Malcolm and Dr Maker
recognized that new, emerging laser applications, coupled with new
laser technologies that could serve these markets, presented a
timely opportunity to start a new venture. Their target is to see M
Squared grow successfully, fuelled by industry-leading products
that meet or exceed customer expectations, a company culture that
nurtures its employees, and by building strong, mutually beneficial
partnerships with customers and other business ventures.
Having moved premises in 2007 to accommodate revenue and product
line growth, M Squared Lasers' headquarters is currently located on
the prestigious West of Scotland Science Park in Glasgow,
Scotland.
